Applications

EXP RA-1540W is designed for use for porous substrates (such as kraft paper), and is suitable for use with hot melt and solvent-based adhesives.

Guidelines for use

Recommended coating methods include mayer bar, reverse roll, rotogravure, and air knife. The quantity to apply depends on the substrate porosity, normally ranging from 1 to 3 g dry/m² . The product can be either thickened (using acrylic thickeners) or diluted (with water). Stir the product and solutions for 10-15 minutes before use to ensure homogeneity. In order to obtain the best release properties, heating the coating during drying at 150°C for a few seconds is recommended. A self-curing process is triggered by the drying process. The optimal concentration of EXP RA-1540W, method of application, and drying conditions should be determined in testing simulating actual conditions of use.
